Study Assignment Instructions
Overview
You will construct two Case Studies on incidents of your choosing. Each Case Study will address an incident such as the construction of the Berlin Wall, the US involvement in the first or second Gulf Wars, the beginning of World War I, or the Able Archer crisis of 1983. Use your Case Study Assignments to provide lessons for the development of the practice of military intelligence.
Instructions
For each Case Study Assignment, you must write an essay of at least 900 words without devoting too much content to well-known details of the chosen incident. Include your observations of what the incident reveals about military intelligence. Focus on intelligence decision-making and the failures or successes that arose
from such decision-making. See the Case Study Grading Rubric for the content-related graded criteria of the assignment.
·Begin with a statement of the incident you are examining. Do not use more than one 50-word paragraph for this.
·Use the rest of the paper to provide your analysis of that incident.
