Role of Director in a Play: While most of us have not directed a play or musical, many of us have been in jobs or classrooms where we had to function as the “director”.  A director is essentially a manager, making many of the difficult decisions and reaping the rewards when they go well and taking the heat if they do not. The book goes into casting, staging, actor coaching, pacing, coordinating etc…what aspect of directing do you think would be the most fun?  The least?  Would you like to be the one in charge, or is that responsibility too daunting?  Were you ever in charge of a large project?  How’d it go?
