Is God the Source of Morality
You are supposed to answer your weekly set of questions by relying on the recorded lecture plus the reading(s). You will know exactly which videos and which readings are relevant for each respective week by relying on your syllabus and numbers that precede videos and readings. The same strategy applies to each successive week. Make sure to watch the video, read your readings, and then answer your questions.
Here are the questions for this week:
1) Explain what exactly is the Euthyphro Dilemma and why is it important at all!
2) If it is true that God created morality by creating commandments that are supposed to guide our behavior, can we say this act of creating commandments was a good example of moral action. Explain why!
3) Compare and contrast the Divine Command Theory and the Natural Law Theory. Explain what is good about each of them, as well as what specific criticism is aimed at them.
