The Politics of Race, Racism and Immigration
You need to write a BLOG post on the title “The Politics of Race, Racism, and Immigration”. It has to be a blog, not an essay or anything like that, and the subject is political science, so it has to have lots of politics involved, preferably British politics as the subject is British political history.
Some ideas are:
The deportation of UK citizens has raised fundamental questions about what it means to have citizenship – both legally and in everyday experience. Think about why the state was able to treat some UK citizens as though they were illegal immigrants, and what this tells us about the changing intersection of ethnicity, nationality, and ‘belonging’ since 1948.
